No, I love the sunshine as much as any person, but I now find myself torn between the desire for the weather to be hot and sunny, and the desire for the weather to be dull and cloudy.
Clearly, if you're selling bathing costumes and bikinis, you'll want the weather to be as hot and dry for as long as possible. However, for most shopkeepers, you need the right sort of good weather to encourage shoppers to come out.
Too hot and people won't come shopping. Too wet and people stay in. When the weather's good enough to be out in it without having to wrap up, people will venture out and spend time in their local high street, exploring and building realtionships with the local communities.
So I'm getting used to quiet spells and enjoying those opportunities to explore other opportunities, happy in the knowledge that once the weather is 'shopping freindly' again, I've got the right stock to tempt the browsing shopper.
